While working at the National Apartment Association, I designed a couple of
logos for various conferences and events. The Student Housing logo evokes
the type of iconic academic building seen on college campuses across the
country (while incorporating the existing NAA logo.) Maintenance Mania is a
competitive event for apartment maintenance professionals, held annually at
NAA's summer conference--the logo and diamond-plated aluminum-like tool
pattern shown here are part of a proposal for rebranding that event. The
Capitol and Assembly of Delegates conferences are somewhat linked in
content, so it was requested that the two logos be similarly linked in
design--hence the shared typeface and line art style.
