This piece was created for a poster design class, and as
an entry to the 2007 Chaumont Poster Festival competition.
While researching for the assignment, two things stuck in
my mind—the very striking and very visible image of smoke
stacks, and the idea that some people don’t realize that
global warming is a problem that needs immediate
attention. I came up with the pack of cigarettes as a
graphic pun that would allow me to merge the two ideas.
